Massage therapy is the oldest recorded healing therapy in history. Everyday more and more people are becoming aware of the benefits massage offers. It is gaining respect and acceptance by medical practices and has become an integral part of health care programs all over the nation.

Massage Therapy is highly regulated in the State of Virginia. Therapists must first complete an approved Massage Therapy course of at least 500 hours of training. Then they must pass a National Certification Exam. Once completed, the therapist applies for certification with the Virginia Board of Nursing. Only then can they practice as a Certified Massage Therapist and are held to a Code of Ethics. Training continues as the therapist is required to complete 24 hours of continued education every 2 years to maintain their certification with the State of Va.


Gerry graduated from the Virginia School of Technology in 2002 at the top of his class after completing 600 hours of practical training in massage therapy. He is certified by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice massage therapy in the State of Virginia.
